After both having extra time off, the Northridge Raiders and the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Northridge will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Northridge needed a bit of extra time to put away Penn. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 54-53 win over the Kingsmen.

Northridge found their leader in sophomore Lily Scholl, who went 12 of 17 en route to 27 points and six rebounds. Scholl is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rielyn Goodwin, who posted 12 points and six assists.

Northridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penn only racked up nine assists.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe Valley earned a 36-23 victory over Harrison last Saturday.

Northridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. As for Tippecanoe Valley, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Northridge took their win against Tippecanoe Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 67-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
