Football Recap: Buchanan Piles Up the Points Against Brandywine

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buchanan). They blew past the Brandywine Bobcats 54-12 on Friday. The Bucks have beaten the Bobcats the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bobcats has come to flipping the script.

Buchanan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carson Deming out in front who rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also caught one TD. Those 83 rushing yards gave Deming a new career-high. Buchanan also got a significant boost from Max Cornelius, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 153 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Buchanan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brandywine only rushed for 66 rushing yards.

Buchanan's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Brandywine, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
