Elkhorn has gone a perfect 4-0 against Lincoln Northwest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Antlers will be playing at home against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Elkhorn's tournament run continued when they took on Gretna on Tuesday. The Antlers fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Antlers in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Elkhorn got a good showing from Max Beard, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Beard didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Elkhorn saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Slade Waggoner, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Lincoln Northwest's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elkhorn North on Thursday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Falcons were not able to get on the board.

Elkhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Lincoln Northwest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Elkhorn came out on top in a nail-biter against Lincoln Northwest in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Antlers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
