Baseball Recap: McAllen Comes Up Short

McAllen was the 8-2 winner over McAllen Memorial when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs lost 19-5 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carlos Soto made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

McAllen's record is now 6-12. As for McAllen Memorial, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Coincidentally, McAllen and McAllen Memorial will both be playing Sharyland the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will head out to face the Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
