The Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars didn't have quite enough to beat the Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers on Thursday and fell 4-3. That's two games in a row now that Shawnee Mission Northwest have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Shawnee Mission Northwest and nudges their season record down to 3-8-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matches. As for Gardner-Edgerton, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
