Recap: Colon Magi vs. Union City Chargers
The Colon Magi lost against the Union City Chargers back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Colon was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to Union City. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Colon in their matchups with Union City: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Colon saw an underclassman step up: Dalton Williams scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The contest was Williams' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Kyle Muntian was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Colon now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Union City, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colon will take on Bellevue at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Bellevue presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Colon in Michigan (Bellevue is ranked 183rd, while Colon is ranked 487th). As for Union City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reading at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Reading focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Thursday.
