Soccer Recap: Fort Payne Find Success

Fort Payne kept a clean sheet against Coahulla Creek on Monday. They beat the Colts by a goal, winning 1-0. Given Fort Payne's advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 31st in Alabama, while Coahulla Creek are ranked 179th in Georgia) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Payne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven contests. As for Coahulla Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.
