Volleyball Recap: Eastlake Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Eastlake, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Santa Fe Christian Eagles 3-0 on Friday. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Eastlake got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 33-31.

Among those leading the charge was Michael Jaymalin, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in March. Joshua Dority also deserves some recognition as he had his first digs of the season.

Jaymalin wasn't the only good server: Eastlake was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Eastlake's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-11. As for Santa Fe Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Eastlake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Olympian on the 16th. As for Santa Fe Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bishop's at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
