Basketball Recap: Lee Robinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Omaha Westside over Papillion-Lavista South

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Omaha Westside can now relate to. They fell just short of the Papillion-LaVista South Titans by a score of 61-58 on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Omaha Westside lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lee Robinson, who went 6-for-13 en route to 15 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emre Gedik, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points.

Papillion-LaVista South's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryson Bahl led the charge by going 6-for-15 on his way to 21 points along with five boards and three steals. The matchup was Bahl's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Herrera, who shot 75% from the field en route to 17 points and five rebounds.

Omaha Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5. As for Papillion-LaVista South, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 26-3.

As of now, neither Omaha Westside nor Papillion-LaVista South have any future games scheduled.
