Oswego East was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hinsdale Central Red Devils. On the bright side, the eight- run  performance marked the Wolves' highest-scoring  contest to date.
 Carter Davis was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  pitched five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Dominic Battista made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double. That  home run was  his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mason Palermo, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
Oswego East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hinsdale Central, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oswego East will face off against Naperville North at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hinsdale Central, they will take on Sandburg in a tournament  on Saturday.
