Torrington falls despite strong effort from Leanna Harvey

Recap: Torrington Raiders vs. Woodland Regional Hawks
The Torrington Raiders were the 52-51 winner over the Woodland Regional Hawks when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Torrington fell just short of Woodland Regional by a score of 46-43. Torrington has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Torrington still got an impressive performance from Leanna Harvey, who scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Calabrese, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Torrington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Woodland Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3.
Torrington will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Wamogo at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodland Regional will finish 2023 at home by hosting Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
