Jalen Sutton Delivers Best Performance of Season
Jalen Sutton produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Evansville Harrison to the win on Friday. Sutton rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 84-yard run.
With the win, Evansville Harrison broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-7. Sutton and Evansville Harrison will venture away from home to square off against Evansville Mater Dei at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Fisher As Evansville Memorial Won 47-7
Matthew Fisher's big game helped extend Evansville Memorial's winning streak to seven on Friday. Fisher turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 350 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground.
For the year, Fisher has thrown 21 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 209.4 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging one rushing yard per game. This year he is averaging 19.43 rushing yards.

A Season-Best Performance from Luke Ellspermann Leads Evansville Memorial over Evansville Reitz
Evansville Memorial was led to victory by Luke Ellspermann, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ellspermann picked up 201 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 62 yards.
Evansville Reitz had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Ellspermann it was a similar story. When Ellspermann last faced the Panthers back in November of 2023, he rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 76 yards and a touchdown on only six passes.

Evansville North Gets a Boost from Rucker Ii in 28-12 Win
Jason Rucker Ii was a major factor in Evansville North's win over Vincennes Lincoln on Friday. Rucker Ii did his part (and then some), rushing for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries for the 'W'. He is becoming a predictor of Evansville North's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
Evansville North pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Rucker Ii and Evansville North will take on Jasper at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Max Mccool and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Castle picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Max Mccool. Mccool did his part (and then some), rushing for 147 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 117 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Jasper's probably not too fond of Mccool given he always seems to get the better of them. Mccool rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry the last time he and the Wildcats duked it out back in September of 2023.
