Softball Game Preview: Bonneville Lakers vs. Woods Cross Wildcats

The Bonneville Lakers are taking a road trip to face off against the Woods Cross Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bonneville hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Bonneville came up short against Bountiful on Tuesday, falling 7-1.

Bonneville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellee Summers, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Woods Cross was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 19-0 to Box Elder. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Bees: they've now lost seven in a row.

Woods Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bonneville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Bonneville beat Woods Cross 5-2 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
