Hardin-Jefferson won the last time they faced Shepherd and things went their way on Friday too. The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks claimed a resounding 70-42 win over the Shepherd Pirates. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hardin-Jefferson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samuel Jones, who went 6 of 8 en route to 12 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Jones a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Larson, who went 9 for 13 to rack up 20 points.

Hardin-Jefferson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive games.

Despite the defeat, Shepherd saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brayden White dropped a double-double with 31 points and 22 rebounds. The matchup was White's 16th in a row with at least 15 points.

Hardin-Jefferson's record now sits at 12-16. As for Shepherd, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season.

Hardin-Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-59 loss against Tarkington on the 11th. Shepherd does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
