            Baseball Recap: Chatfield Chargers vs. Valor Christian Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Chatfield extended their losing streak  to four  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 7-8 in the process. They came up short against  the Valor Christian Eagles, falling  16-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-1  on Tuesday.
  Brady Harman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.  Isaac Low was another key player,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  runs and one  double.
As for Valor Christian, their victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 4-9. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 On Valor Christian's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Carter Lowery, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  Lowery a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Andrew Buchold, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatfield will challenge Bear Creek at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.69  runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Valor Christian, they will square off against Columbine at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
