Baseball Recap: Raleigh Takes a Loss

Raleigh came into this matchup off a tough 15-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Mendenhall Tigers by a score of 9-7 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Deuce Carter was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Middleton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Raleigh's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Mendenhall, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Raleigh will challenge Bogue Chitto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mendenhall, they will take on Pass Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
