Bailey Came Up Big in Sam Houston's 46-21 Loss
Starting off the list is Sam Houston's Drew Bailey, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Bailey rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
If the past is any indication, Bailey could be in store for another big game when he takes on Carencro on Friday. Bailey rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry the last time he and the Bears duked it out back in October of 2023.

Brodie Depriest Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Sulphur got the W thanks in part to Brodie DePriest playing the best football he has all season. DePriest rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 139 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes.
With the win, Sulphur broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3. DePriest and Sulphur will square off against Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
