Blair Oaks has gone 10-0 against Hallsville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Hallsville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Fatima by a score of 58-55. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Comets are ranked 139th).

The victory was the third in a row for Blair Oaks, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.3 points. As for Hallsville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.

Blair Oaks came out on top in a nail-biter against Hallsville when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 60-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blair Oaks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
