Soccer Game Preview: Grand Oaks vs. Dekaney

The Grand Oaks Grizzlies will head out to face off against the Dekaney Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grand Oaks is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Grand Oaks' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Caney Creek by a score of 2-0. Give the Grizzlies' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dekaney). They blew past Nimitz 8-1 last Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Grand Oaks' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six contests. As for Dekaney, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-4 record this season.
