Hilton Head Prep piles up the points against Charleston Collegiate

Recap: Hilton Head Prep Dolphins vs. Charleston Collegiate Sundevils

The Hilton Head Prep Dolphins waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They breezed by Charleston Collegiate at home to the tune of 60-21. That looming 60-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Hilton Head Prep yet this season.

Leading Hilton Head Prep to victory were Billy Barron and Jason Britschge. Barron scored 14 points along with five steals, while Britschge dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Barron is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Ege Erol, who scored nine points along with four steals.

Several Sundevils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kani Butler, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Reed, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.

Hilton Head Prep's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Charleston Collegiate, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Hilton Head Prep will head out on the road to take on Hilton Head Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hilton Head Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Saturday. As for Charleston Collegiate, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against John Paul II at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
