Soccer Recap: Greenwood Christian Beats Crescent for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Greenwood Christian barely beat Crescent the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Greenwood Christian Hawks put the hurt on the Crescent Tigers with a sharp 6-3 win on Monday. With the Hawks ahead 3-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

They hit Crescent with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hampton Davis (2), Noah Vahjen (2), Brady Wilson, and Rylan Durbin.

The victory (which was Greenwood Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four games. As for Crescent, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenwood Christian will welcome Abbeville at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crescent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Towns County at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crescent has given up an average of 6.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
