Preview: Adams Central Patriots vs. York Dukes
The Adams Central Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the York Dukes on Tuesday. Adams Central is looking to tack on another W to their 14-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
On Saturday, Adams Central faced Cross County in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Adams Central fell 52-39 to Cross County. The loss put an end to Adams Central's undefeated start to the season.
Meanwhile, York beat Aurora 49-39 on Friday.
It was another big night for Chloe Koch, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Lainey Portwine, who scored ten points.
Adams Central's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. As for York, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Adams Central strolled past York when the teams last played back in January by a score of 53-38. Will Adams Central repeat their success, or does York have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
