Soccer Recap: Crean Lutheran Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Crean Lutheran was not quite Brea Olinda's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They lost 4-1 to the Brea Olinda Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 536th, while the Wildcats are ranked 154th).

Crean Lutheran now has a losing record at 4-5-2. As for Brea Olinda, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Crean Lutheran will be playing at home against Villa Park at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Villa Park's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Brea Olinda, they will head out to face off against Esperanza at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Brea Olinda is facing Esperanza at the right time seeing as Esperanza is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
