Volleyball Recap: Hubbard Starts off Right with Win over Steinmetz College Prep

Hubbard had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks by a score of 2-0.

While Hubbard might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Steinmetz College Prep scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18.

Hubbard was led to victory by Eriana Santana and Debora Lopez. Santana had nine digs and three aces, while Lopez had five aces and four assists. That's the most aces Santana has posted since back in October of 2024.

Looking ahead, Hubbard will challenge Solorio at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Steinmetz College Prep, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Intrinsic at 5:00 p.m. on September 8.
