Baseball Recap: Lapwai Wildcats vs. Genesee Bulldogs
Lapwai was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Genesee Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-2 on Thursday.

Da Ron Wheeler was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Wheeler was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.
