Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Jameson Schmidt stepped things up a notch to give Howards Grove the 'W'. Schmidt was unstoppable, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Schmidt and Howards Grove will square off against Kohler at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Schmidt had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in May of 2024 5-4.
