Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central lost against South Elgin on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rockets fell just short of the Storm by a score of 4-3. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Botkin, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Central now has a losing record of 4-5. As for South Elgin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Central will venture away from home to face off against Crystal Lake Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Elgin, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Elgin at 4:30 p.m.
