Softball Game Preview: Lewisburg Patriots vs. Liberty Creek Wolves

The Lewisburg Patriots will challenge the Liberty Creek Wolves at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewisburg is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

On Monday, Lewisburg sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Madison County. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by just one run.

Leona-Klaire Stokes was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Moss, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

Lewisburg hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Liberty Creek had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let Tipton-Rosemark Academy get on the board and left with a 4-0 win.

Lewisburg's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Liberty Creek, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
