Soccer Recap: Western Hills Takes a Loss

Western Hills lost against Southwest back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Western Hills Cougars fell 3-1 to the Southwest Raiders. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly two goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Western Hills and nudges their season record down to 9-9-2. As for Southwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8-2 record this season.

Western Hills and Southwest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Western Hills (ranked 605th) will meet Castleberry (ranked 47th) at 8:00 p.m. on March 21st. Similarly, Southwest will challenge Lamar at 12:00 p.m. on Monday down 415 places (527 vs. 112).
