Baseball Recap: De Pere's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

De Pere came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pulaski Red Raiders by a score of 7-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 back in April.

Isaac Poehlman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple was his first of the season.

Poehlman wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mason Sequin, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Sequin has posted since back in April. Another was Max Cavanaugh, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

De Pere was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pulaski only posted a batting average of .185.

De Pere pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pulaski, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.
