Volleyball Recap: River City Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact River City can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Kennedy Cougars on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since May 2, 2024.

While River City was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14, 25-23.

Owen Yang was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 13 digs and four aces.

River City's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

River City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kennedy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Folsom on the 30th.
