Basketball Recap: Perkins County Plainsmen vs. Southwest Roughriders

Perkins County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 69-40 defeat at the hands of the Southwest Roughriders. While losing is never fun, the Plainsmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while the Roughriders are ranked 36th).

Perkins County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Libby Cole, who posted five points and five rebounds. Addison York was another key player, putting up five points and five boards.

Southwest was led to victory by Kyra Nelms and Aspen Billeter.
