Softball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Forsyth Home Educators lost to Greater Cabarrus S on Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Hawks came out on top against the Stallions by a score of 7-3.

Abigail Smith and Ansley Owens did most of the damage at the plate: Smith scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Owens scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Owens has posted since back in March.

Forsyth Home Educators is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Greater Cabarrus S, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forsyth Home Educators will venture away from home to square off against Oak Level Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Conquerors have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Greater Cabarrus S, they will face off against Union Preparatory at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
