Soccer Preview: Seaforth vs. Northwood        
        
		
             The Seaforth Hawks will venture away from home to  take on the Northwood Chargers  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Northwood took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Seaforth, who comes in off a win.
 Last Monday, Seaforth had just enough and edged Cummings out  3-2.
 Something new happened  on Monday as  Justin Fernandez saw his first action of the season, playing 40 minutes against Cummings. Fernandez made the most of the opportunity,  scoring two goals and two  steals. A few more games like that and  he might be seeing even more time going forward.
 Meanwhile, Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  4-0 to Southern Lee. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings  (they are ranked 349th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 123rd).
 Seaforth now  has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Northwood, they now  have a losing record at 3-4-1.
 Seaforth skirted past Northwood  1-0 when the teams last played  back in October of 2023. Will Seaforth repeat their success,  or does  Northwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
