Basketball Game Preview: Harding Academy Lions vs. Arlington Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Harding Academy Lions take on the Arlington Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Harding Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Millington Central just ended the team's four-game winning streak last Friday. They took a 47-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

Despite their defeat, Harding Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brynne Miller, who posted 12 points and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Miller is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Niya Evans, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, Arlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Munford. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Harding Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
