Football Recap: Resurrection Takes a Loss

Resurrection suffered their biggest loss since September 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of the St. Laurence Vikings. The Bandits lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 22-14 score last time.

Resurrection didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lauren Chavez and Abby Acierno. Another thorn in St. Laurence's side was Morgan Schreiber, who picked up two sacks and made five total tackles.

Resurrection's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Laurence, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Resurrection and St. Laurence will both be playing DePaul College Prep the next time they take the field. The Vikings will host the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bandits will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
