The South Mecklenburg Sabres will face off against the Ardrey Kell Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, South Mecklenburg turned things around against Berry on Monday. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 17-1 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Sabres' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Christian Gegg looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
At the plate, Pete Halstead was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Charlie Doherty also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
South Mecklenburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Ardrey Kell entered their tilt with Olympic on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Trojans 14-2. Considering the Knights have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Matthew Slattery looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ardrey Kell got a massive performance out of Owen Green, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jake Janowicz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
South Mecklenburg's record is now 15-10. As for Ardrey Kell, their record now sits at 16-9.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. South Mecklenburg has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. However, it's not like Ardrey Kell struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
South Mecklenburg couldn't quite get it done against Ardrey Kell in their previous meeting on April 4th as they fell 5-0. Can the Sabres avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
