Baseball Recap: Fall River Bulldogs vs. Etna Lions

Fall River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Etna Lions, falling 19-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-3 on Friday.

Fall River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Jimenez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Jacob Casper was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Fall River's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Etna, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Fall River will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Burney at 11:30 a.m. on the 9th. As for Etna, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-2 defeat against Phoenix on the 31st.
