Volleyball Recap: Heritage Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Heritage Academy entered their tilt with Bishop Walsh on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

While Heritage Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-12.

Ava Dahn paced Heritage Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Dahn got some help from Payton Wood and her 14 assists. Wood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Heritage Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Bishop Walsh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.

Heritage Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Grace Academy on the 2nd. As for Bishop Walsh, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Salisbury Elk Lick at 6:00 p.m. on the 10th.
