Baseball Recap: Ardrey Kell Victorious

Ardrey Kell was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the West Potomac Wolverines. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 10, 2024.

Ardrey Kell got a great performance from Colin Fisher as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, Fisher posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Ardrey Kell let Colby Epperly and Brady Marconi run wild. Epperly went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Marconi went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that Epperly has hit this season.

Ardrey Kell's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for West Potomac, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Ardrey Kell has already played their next matchup, a 7-3 win against Palisades on the 22nd. As for West Potomac, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against South County on the 22nd.
