Softball Recap: Green Sea Floyds' Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Green Sea Floyds pushed their score to nine the last time they played Lake View, but on Thursday they couldn't quite do it again. The Green Sea Floyds Trojans never let the Lake View Wild Gators get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won three contests in a row.

The result came thanks to Maci Collins's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Green Sea Floyds let Claire Stroud and Blair Elliott run wild. Stroud went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Elliott went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run was Stroud's first of the season.

Green Sea Floyds lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Green Sea Floyds' victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Green Sea Floyds has already played their next game (against Dillon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lake View, they will square off against Latta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
