Basketball Game Preview: Van Buren Vee Bees vs. Far Rockaway Seahorses

Van Buren is on a four-game streak of home losses, Far Rockaway a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Saturday. The Van Buren Vee Bees will welcome the Far Rockaway Seahorses at 1:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Van Buren ended up a good deal behind Eagle Academy III and lost 68-54. While losing is never fun, the Vee Bees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 641st, while the Eagles are ranked 183rd).

Meanwhile, Far Rockaway scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 81-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forest Hills.

Van Buren's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Far Rockaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
