Cascade extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping them up to 13-7. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 67-65 win over the Cannon County Lions. This was a revenge game for the Champions: when they faced off against the Lions back in December of 2025, they had to take a 72-68 defeat.

As for Cannon County, their loss ended a 20-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-4. The close game was extra heartbreaking for they, who almost overcame a 21 point deficit.

When it comes to explaining why Cannon County lost, don't look at Anderson Lara. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-16 on his way to 25 points and seven rebounds. Lara is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lukas Phillips, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards.

Coming up, Cascade will welcome Summertown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Champions will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.63 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cannon County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Smith County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will be up against the Owls' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
