While Southern's win against Mountain Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Miners 6-4. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Miners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Southern saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Lohr, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Jared Haskiel was another, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Southern now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Mountain Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern will take on Allegany at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Campers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mountain Ridge, they will host Berkeley Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.72 runs per game on average), something the Miners will no doubt try to take advantage of.
