Basketball Recap: Wendover Wildcats vs. Tabiona Tigers
The Wendover Wildcats lost against the Tabiona Tigers last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Wendover fell 38-25 to the Tigers. Wendover has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their game on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Wendover saw an underclassman step up: Millie Hicks dropped a double-double on 13 points and 23 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaby Delgadillo, who scored four points along with six blocks and two steals.
Wendover's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Tabiona, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wendover will take on the Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tabiona, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Longhorns at 7:30 p.m.
