Volleyball Recap: Van Nuys' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of three wins, Van Nuys's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Windward Wildcats. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Van Nuys' defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Windward, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Van Nuys and Windward should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Van Nuys (ranked 65th) will meet Panorama (ranked 323rd) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Van Nuys is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Similarly, Windward will face off against Brentwood School at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 333 places (73 vs. 406).
