Softball Recap: West Point Starts Season with Victory Against Lafayette

West Point had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 19-1 margin over the Lafayette Rams on Thursday. This was payback for the Pointers, who suffered a 13-11 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lafayette dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Point will square off against Bruton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lafayette, they are taking a road trip to challenge Warhill at 5:30 p.m. on March 21st.
