Volleyball Recap: Oxford Prep Falls to South Granville in First Game of Season

Oxford Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Granville Vikings on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 20-25, 25-23.

Leading South Granville to victory were Larah Preddy and Tatum Currin. Preddy had 12 digs and four aces, while Currin had seven digs and three aces. Those 12 digs gave Preddy a new career-high.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxford Prep will welcome Woods Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Granville, they will host Louisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
