Baseball Recap: Adams Comes Up Short

Adams lost to North Mesquite on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars lost 7-1 to the Stallions. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adams saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justino Chavarria, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Adams' loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for North Mesquite, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Adams will challenge rival Samuell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Mesquite is set to square off against their familiar foe West Mesquite at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
