Softball Recap: American Leadership Academy Beats Judge Memorial Catholic for Their Third Straight Victory

American Leadership Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs 25-13. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

American Leadership Academy got a massive performance out of Jackie Huff, who went 4-for-6 with six stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. With that strong performance, Huff is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game. Ryan Hiss was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances.

American Leadership Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.

American Leadership Academy pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.7 runs over those games. As for Judge Memorial Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, American Leadership Academy and Judge Memorial Catholic will both be playing Providence Hall the next time they take the field. American Leadership Academy will host Providence Hall at 3:30 p.m. on April 8, while Judge Memorial Catholic will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on April 10.
